I’ve been vegan for over 10 years and I did it for the animals. I always liked the taste and texture of meat and I haven’t found many restaurants that managed to cook something to resemble it so well. I’m from Romania and I’ve travelled to other countries too, but I’ve never had something more delicious than their Grillzilla burger, Jesus Christ. I saw people complaining about the prices or portion size (probably Americans who are used to 1 kg of junk food for $0.99). My gf and I ordered 1 burger each and a potato salad, she also had tacos (2) and I had a burrito with seitan. We didn’t expect the portions to be this big and I forced myself to eat everything, including 1 taco from my gf and most of the potato salad because she was already full from her burger. The whole thing was like 70 BGN, which is about 180 RON. In Romania you get about half of what we had for this price. The next day, when we were also leaving back to Romania, we had a burger each again and I also ordered another Grillzilla burger to-go, so I could eat it when I got home, and we also had some kebab which was insanely good. For those who also care about macros (including myself), these guys use seitan and textured soy protein, which are high in protein and that’s not something you usually expect from a vegan restaurant, which is why I rarely eat out in Romania. We also brought our non-vegan friends to the restaurant and they were impressed with how great the food was and said they’ll bring their friends too.
I took one star off because of the prices. The food I ordered tasted great, but small considering the price. Also I was disappointed not to find sweet potatoe fries on the menu. I was happy to find the gluten free bun as an option. It is a tourist friendly place. The atmosphere is more like a take away or a fast food spot.
Awesome fully vegan restaurant ran by a cool guy. Huge menu with lots of gluten-free options. The food is freshly prepared between orders and tastes absolutely amazing, thanks man!
Located centerally with a nice vibe. The food was fresh and tasty. Alas, my bun fell apart, but the "meat" was excellent. Fries were not a menu option, so I enjoyed the small portion of potato salad. Pros: Meat of vegan burger, vibe good location Cons: Not especially cheap, no full grain bun, fries or potato wedges.
Delicious food. The first time I ordered a tempeh wrap and the next time a rice wrap. Really delicious! There is a lot of different options in menu. The place is very cozy and is located in a quiet street. As soon as I come back to Sofia, I will visit this place regularly! And you can read something and charge your phone while having a cup of tea :) my favorite veggie food in Sofia :) Greetings to all who work there. Very nice people :) and see you next time 😊
