Authentic Swiss dinner place. It seems very unassuming but it fills up so I recommend reservations. Great knowledge of gluten free items.
We had a fantastic meal at the restaurant. I emailed Stephane before and he had food prepared, vegetable Thai style curry, for those in our party who were Vegan. They stated it was the best vegan food all holiday with loads of flavour and not too spicy. The rest of the party had the fondue with mushrooms and steak which you could cook to your taste. Stephane was a great host and allowed us to taste a couple of wines before we decided which bottle to have. Would recommend.
Le National – A True Taste of Tradition Le National is a very nice restaurant that beautifully showcases the essence of traditional cuisine in a warm, inviting setting. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuine hospitality and a cozy, authentic atmosphere that feels like home. The menu is filled with classic dishes made with local ingredients, cooked to perfection. Whether it’s a hearty meat dish, a rich sauce, or a seasonal specialty, every plate is full of flavor and tradition. You can really taste the care and heritage in each bite. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to recommend dishes or local wines that complement the food perfectly. If you’re looking to experience authentic traditional food in a relaxed and charming setting, Le National is a must-try. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great local spot with delicious, well priced food. We had the steak (finished off at your table) and it was the best we had on our European travels thus far. The owner and his daughter were welcoming. We’d recommend including this spot in between your shopping and strolling.
The atmosphere at this Swiss restaurant was underwhelming: rustic but lacking charm, with a chaotic and overcrowded bar and service area dominating the view from the central table. Half of our group enjoyed the fondue à la brisure de truffe noire, which was well-prepared but felt stingy on the truffle shavings. Additionally, the small bowl of potatoes was charged separately on top of the 34 CHF, which seemed excessive. The other half opted for the ravioli aux homard, where the lobster filling was fresh and flavorful, but the pasta dough felt industrial and bland, taking away from the overall enjoyment of the dish. At 53 CHF per person (excluding wine), the dining experience felt overpriced, especially given the disorganized and overcrowded surroundings. While the dishes had potential, the overall experience did not meet expectations for a special occasion.
