This restaurant was overall a decent place to try Hungarian food, and its location was quite good. The quality of the food was above average, and if you want to taste local cuisine, it can be a good option. However, I found the cleanliness to be weak. For example, the tablecloths were not changed between guests – the same dirty one from the previous customer was left for the next. In addition, it looked like there hadn’t been proper pest control, as there were small bugs that could easily be removed with a simple spraying, as you can also see in the photos. Look at the lamps under on top of the tables that we had dinner. Not clean! The staff were also not very attentive or professional. They didn’t handle the service in a very organized way. Even when I asked to pay the bill, I had to repeat the request to several different people before someone finally came to collect the payment. In summary: if you want to try Hungarian food, this place can be fine, but don’t expect high standards of cleanliness or very polished service.
The place is a tourist trap. Definitely don’t go! The food was average and the service waiter was so rude. We had to repeat at least 3 times before he brought the order and still brought it to a different table! The price is super high for a sub par food. Water is charged super high, which comes in an unsealed glass bottle and the waiter confirmed that it is reused. So charging for that is not right. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Try other decent Langosh places and not this one.
The location is good and service is very friendly although the food is average. More of a tourist destination. I was surprised by the price, euro 107 for 4 mains, 1 dessert (as per photos) 1 coke zero and water🤔
We really enjoyed the dinner! Everything was delicious, and we could truly feel the Hungarian traditions in every dish we tried. We highly recommend coming here!
It was a Sunday and I was very hungry when I got there. The restaurant was full with reservations and they said they couldn’t accept me. I was alone and the beautiful blonde girl at the door welcomed me to the bar luckily:) I tried goulash soup, and it was enough for me with bread, so I didn’t need a main dish. However, I wanted to try the Hungarian sponge cake -Somloi Galuska. Both the soup and the desert were really good! I had white wine and pumpkin palinka. Palinka is too strong:) I was charged for the bread, although any of the receipts shared here I couldn’t see this. And I asked on instagram and they said they don’t charge. There was another blonde woman at the bar who was not friendly at all, she made me feel like she was not happy that I was sitting there.. I don’t know who added it to my receipt, but I asked for one slice of bread from her before. Anyways, I understand that it might not be easy to stand and serve for hours, however it’s not difficult to be nice. I’d like to thank to the beautiful blonde girl who welcomed me and took care of me rest of the night, asking if everything is okay:)
