Had a superb evening. The tasting menu was great and we were told the story behind each dish. The atmosphere was cosy and calm and the food was very good. We are definitely coming back next time we are in Budapest!

Their unique concept – creating a menu inspired by a book – makes each visit a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. They also offer plenty of vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options, so everyone can enjoy the experience. Delicious food, fair prices, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I love everything and will always come back!

KonyvBar’s Hobbit-themed menu was pure magic! Each course felt like stepping into Middle-earth, blending childlike wonder with refined, sophisticated flavors. From “Sign of Gandalf” to the shimmering “Arkenstone,” every dish was creative, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying. It wasn’t just dinner—it was a nostalgic, whimsical, and truly unforgettable culinary adventure.

Very interesting concept, they change the menu every 2 months based on a book. The food was very good and the attention of Mathew was amazing. They explained every dish and drink with care.

Our favorite restaurant in Budapest. Fantastic creativity in the tasting menu. I have referred many people there and all rave about it.
