Why Montreux

Why why? Well, I guess there's no other restaurant offering a similar dining and dancing experience in Montreux. It was my first time there, and I hadn't seen any photos or read any reviews upfront. So upon arrival, I was impressed by how modern it was... Not your usual classic 🇨🇭 restaurant. I guess that's why it was full of young people, properly dressed, to eat and have fun once the DJ starts his show. The food was fine, I had the 🐙 as main; the service was fine, as long as you're not in a hurry. This is a place to enjoy the atmosphere, after all. I can't say anything about the music as I left before it started. Have fun! Why? Have fun! Why? That's why. 😅

Not too bad. The food is tasty, service was a bit delayed but quite polite. The place has a nice ambiance but it feels kind of stuffy and overloaded with information but i guess tjats the style. My main course didnt taste fresh, like the pasta felt overly moist. Anyway wasnt too bad!

Simply the best beef tartare I’ve ever had. Just a minus for the music which is too commercial compared to the quality of the Italian food.

Why Montreux restaurant has potential with its trendy and modern decor, but unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. As a fairly new establishment, it seems they are struggling with serious management and service issues. The main problem was the incredibly slow service. We were a party of 8, and the food took forever to arrive, with each dish coming out at different times—some of us had finished eating before others even received their meals. The waitstaff, while friendly, were clearly overwhelmed and understaffed, leading to delays in everything from getting drinks to cleaning the table. At one point, a waiter was cleaning a table behind us with loud clattering of silverware and dishes, adding to the chaotic atmosphere. There was no visible floor manager to coordinate seating or assist the staff, leaving the waiters scrambling and unable to provide even basic service. The table wasn’t cleaned on time, drink refills were nonexistent, and no one checked on us due to the sheer lack of organization. This level of mismanagement is unacceptable. I left extremely dissatisfied and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone until they address these critical issues. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

Why Montreux is a spacious restaurant very close, within 100 meters, from several major hotels. My husband and I enjoyed a sumptious meal of lamb, pizza and a dessert via La Fourchette, as this restaurant is a participent in festivals that offer discounted rates. The interior decor is excellent. It has a long bar. It opens at 6.30 pm in the evening and we were the first customers. The place was full of guests during dinner on the 31st of October. We would recommend this place to anyone who loves European cuisines. We also had red wine, which is not included in The Fork's festival.
