Hüsi Bierhaus

Great local bar joint with local vibes. Had a late lunch consisting of the rib platter and “macaroni and cheese” which is a local dish. Food was very good, well above average bar food. A good mix of locals and tourists.

We were greeted warmly by server staff and promptly seated outside, when given the choice. They spoke English very well, were helpful and friendly. With a suggestion from our server, I chose a Älska strawberry and lime cider and it was refreshing and delicious and paired well with our meal. We both ordered the schnitzel with mashed potatoes. The schnitzel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Delicious.

Just be prepared that there is always a queue when you come here, but it's for good reasons. We came here as a family for dinner, greeted by extremely friendly and helpful staffs, always smiley no matter how busy they are. The Swiss burger, Schnitzel and barbeque pork ribs were very tasty. The atmosphere was nice as well, just a bit noisy as it was very busy. Will definitely recommend coming here.

Food was very heavy (as expected) but very tasty! The pork schnitzel and the bratwurst were good; their fries were some of the best I’ve had in Europe. The beer selection was good, although the bar service was a little slow. Our server was very nice and entertaining but definitely was struggling to man all the tables outside and our dishes and beers came out somewhat disjointed. Overall, good food and beer.

Loved it, everything about the place, the food, the experience and the service. The curry bratwurst was great, enjoyed the twist. We also had the bier bratwurst and parmigiana schnitzel that was amazing, Mac and cheese was pretty good too.
