Best restaurant in Wengen. The burger was the best one I have had in my life. The dessert was amazing. Great service.

This place completely won me over. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with such warmth—it felt more like being hosted than just dining out. The whole team was genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and really knew their menu. Special shoutout to the manager Ms Felicia, truly one of the best I’ve ever come across in any restaurant. Their presence was calm, confident, and hands-on—in the best way. You could tell they not only lead the team with heart but also care deeply about making every guest feel at home. Now the food… wow. I loved the salmon. And the Jurasnitha with fried Ticino aubergine? Absolutely unforgettable. The textures and flavors were so well balanced. Everything from the atmosphere, the people, and the food just came together beautifully. I’ll definitely be back ❤️

We had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Waldrand on two separate occasions during our stay at the Grand Hotel Belvedere, where the restaurant is located. From start to finish, each experience was exceptional and left a lasting impression, and that's saying something coming from New Yorkers who are spoiled for choice when it comes to great food and hospitality. To begin with, the service at Waldrand was absolutely outstanding. We’d like to specifically recognize Felicia, Matteo, and Anna, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, remembered, and taken care of. Their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism really elevated our meals into special experiences. The menu is distinctly Alpine, celebrating the local flavors with a refined touch. Everything we tried was beautifully prepared and delicious, but a special shoutout must go to the schnitzel, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Before dinner, we enjoyed drinks at the attached bar, which deserves its own praise. The ambiance there is stunning; cozy, elegant, and inviting, with a crackling fireplace that made it feel like a luxurious mountain chalet. It was the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail and soak in the atmosphere. Whether you’re staying at the Belvedere or just passing through the area, Restaurant Waldrand is not to be missed. It’s a rare combination of incredible food, warm hospitality, and a setting that feels both upscale and deeply comforting.

Eating here was truly wonderful! The food was the best we have had on our whole Switzerland trip. It’s a must to order the cheese platter! The chicken was also incredible, and some of the best I have ever had! Loved it and cannot wait to return!

We ate here two nights in a row, definitely the best dining option in Wengen. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Decor is well done and relaxing. Food highlights are the roasted cabbage salad (AMAZING), weinerschnitzel (flaky and juicy), rosti chips, and bratwurst with mustard seed. Food is locally sourced and modern take on Swiss food. This restaurant is in The Grand Hotel Belvedere where we stayed for 2 nights. Recommend staying overnight if you can, the views are amazing. Attached pic of our hotel room view.
