Streetside isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a fever dream with floral wallpaper. Someone clearly said, “What if a chic Swiss chalet and a disco ball had a baby?” — and then gave that baby a cocktail shaker and a Spotify Premium account. You walk in and immediately think, Oh great, I’m about to make some bad decisions. The lighting is dim enough to hide your regrets but warm enough to make you think having a baby might be a great idea. There’s a club downstairs for when you inevitably follow through on that thought. The vibe? Somewhere between “relaxing alpine lounge” and “your cool friend’s living room where no one ever has to work again.” It’s quiet, fun, open, and friendly — like Zermatt’s version of Cheers, but with better bone structure. Now, let’s talk about Simon and Katt — two bartenders who could probably solve most geopolitical conflicts if you gave them a shaker and a few limes. These two don’t just pour drinks; they orchestrate experiences. They’re attentive, funny, and have that sixth sense that lets them know when you’re debating your fifth drink or your life choices. By the end of the night, you’re convinced they’re your new best friends, and honestly, they probably are. Katt even walked us to Little Bar — another of Danny’s joints. Danny, the owner, is like a hospitality demigod. He’s everywhere at once: checking on tables, running the bar, charming the crowd. If this guy IPO’d, I’d liquidate my retirement account and go all in. He’s the kind of entrepreneur who could sell snow to the Swiss and make them thank him for it. And then there’s the food. Sweet merciful fondue, the food. There’s a burger joint next door, but don’t bother. The burger here is so juicy it should come with a lifeguard. Perfectly cooked, confidently served, and somehow still feels like a salad thanks to the fresh bread and greens — a delusion I’m happy to live in. But the real crime scene of addiction? The chicken strips. Sticky, crispy, sinful. I ordered them once and by the third night I was considering tattooing “Sticky Fingers” on my forearm. Danny could franchise these things and retire on a private island made entirely of dipping sauce. Streetside is what happens when old-school chalet charm takes a shot of espresso and joins a rock band. It’s cozy but not cutesy, polished but not pretentious. You don’t just eat here — you belong here, at least until your tab comes and you realize you’ve been emotionally adopted by the staff. In a town full of postcard perfection and overpriced hot toddies, Streetside feels real — a place where the food’s as good as the people and the lighting makes everyone look like a movie star. If heaven has a lounge, it probably looks a lot like this… except they definitely don’t serve chicken this good up there.
We were initially put off by all the neon lights and club like atmosphere, but once we were inside and settled it was great. The server (Russian accent?) was excellent. The food was leaning toward American cuisine, but it was honestly nice to get a break from fondue, raclette, rosti and the like for one night. The music was perfect as well.
Amazing establishment. Great music . Great drinks. I lost my passport bag and cash and they returned it to me in the morning when I arrived. Extremely honest and amazing staff . Thank you
This place pleasantly surprised us. Great burgers. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Very friendly service. Highly recommend 👍
Did not have the food, just a late day draft beer. The staff is wonderful and interactive with every one. Newer bar, nice vibe, great decor and lighting, back grown vibe music. Beer was nice and cold, small but a broad variety.
