Great restaurant, food tasted fresh and flavourful, very attentive and friendly service, it was quick too. Great place, would definitely recommend it

We had a delicious lunch here. After visiting Matterhorn glacier paradise, we walked to this restaurant and we are glad we visited here. My husband ordered the full order of Wiener schnitzel, it had a nice breading with a delicious jam. I had the burger and it was really good. For dessert we got an apricot pie and apricot sorbet, both were so good. The homemade iced is also delicious. They have beautiful views of the Matterhorn as well, and excellent customer service. Sonnmatten is absolutely worth the visit.

Fantastic restaurant with great food and great service. This was our first visit, definitely won’t be our last. We both had the Wiener Schnitzel, I can honestly say it was the best I have ever had, and a huge portion. The atmosphere is very nice and traditional, a warm beautiful place for dinner.

Lunch for 2 there (no hotel stay) Truly fantastic Wiener schnitzel With good fries and good potato salad Kudos for the great wine list , including Austrian wines Lovely outdoor terrasse .
