A really nice surprise. We were looking to get a quick meal to finish a long day in Plovdiv before we had to catch a bus back to Sofia, but ended up having one of the best meals of our Bulgaria trip. The shrimp were marinated well and full of flavour and the spreads were really nice, especially the aubergine dip. The absolute highlight were the courgette tacos, every bite of those was heaven. I'd confidently order anything from the menu here. The service was good, the only downside being that our potatoes arrived a bit late compared to the other dishes, even though they are more of a side dish. Apart from that, the atmosphere is nice. When we were there, the streets were almost empty (we had to get an early dinner before travelling), but it looks like a really fun street if all the restaurants are busy.
Nestled in the lively Kapana area in Plovdiv centre, this bar/restaurant is great to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks and people watch. We were particularly impressed with the crispy pork liver and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable few hours spent there.
What a great meal! I started with the spicy crispy chicken appetizer. The pieces had a glaze and breading was very crisp and the chicken juicy. The sauce was delightful. Just enough heat but full of flavor. The noodles on the side were a nice cooling addition. I had the tempura shrimp tacos. Light, refreshing and again the sauce was amazing. Hard to eat but worth it. Lastly was the chocolate cake. Lovely end to the meal. Not to sweet but sweet enough, cream filling. Passion fruit lemonade. After 2 weeks in Bulgaria, my favorite meal. Service was an a+.
I like the place. It has variety of dishes in the menu. Not all the waiters are good, I was standing for a while until somebody noticed me and ansked if they can help me. But the guy serving my table was very good.
This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Kapana. The food is always fresh, full of flavor, and consistently excellent no matter what I order. I’ve been here many times, and every visit feels just as good as the first. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively. A place that truly never disappoints.
