Laahener Wirt

I've always enjoyed eating at Laahener Wirt. This time, I was unfortunately disappointed, both with the food and the service. The Jägerpfandl (hunter's pan), which is usually good, wasn't particularly good this time for the high price (although the meat was very good and tender; I would have preferred chanterelle mushrooms instead of wild mushrooms – considering they charge almost €21 for a pan). Service: Unfortunately, we didn't get a menu – we were immediately served the daily special. I find that a shame, as I would have liked a soup as a starter. What I did like, however, was the starter in the form of spreads, which was a welcome gift from the house. The bread and spreads were very tasty. When I asked about a dessert menu, I was first told there was one, and then the other waitress said there wasn't one. After I ordered my dessert, I was surprised by what it looked like. A dry pastry that had most likely been sitting for a few days. Just a quick glance was enough. It's a disgrace that they even served the cake. After all, I didn't have to pay for it. (Which is fine.) I hope my next stay at Laahener Wirt will be different, as the food and staff have always been good!
