Locanda Motto del Gallo

Absolutely delicious, a real jewel in Ticino, not to be missed, the place is gorgeous and the food absolutely amazing. We were treated like Royalty.

We stayed in an apartment located on the same premises as the restaurant. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the restaurant’s owner. That evening, we enjoyed an excellent dinner on the outdoor terrace – the food was outstanding, the wine perfectly matched, and the service attentive and professional. The next morning, we enjoyed breakfast in the village at a bar run by the same owner, which was also very enjoyable. All in all, a wonderful experience that we can highly recommend!

After long time I was happy to try again this restaurant close to my house. Food experience was a 50/50, speciality was good experience but the pasta and chicken wasn’t according the expectations Spaghettoni wasn’t the best dish, test good but way to many ceci Service and atmosphere was great

Incredible food to the point that we can back two more nights in a row. The beef tartare with the bone marrow is out of this world. The wine pairings were better than in a Michelin Star restaurant. The team is absolutely lovely.

We had lunch at Locanda Motto del Gallo and our experience was adversely impacted by an issue in the kitchen (oven/grill). As a result, all cooked meat dishes were not available - almost half of the menu. I would have appreciated to be informed upfront, mostly as I made this booking for a “special occasion” (and chose the restaurant especially for the meat specialties), or at least when getting the menu. Instead, we were informed only after the order, which I found very inconvenient. While I do understand that this kind of issues are not directly within the restaurant’s control, I would have expected a better way of addressing the inconvenience with the clients.
