I believe I just went to the best restaurant in Lugano. A legit mom and pop restaurant that serves home cooked meals without the fancy decor. This place looks like a local spot and from what I can see it was local people eating here. Very nice people that for the most part say bye to you when they leave. Food was very very good and balanced. Not salty. I went for lunch and it was a set menu that comes with bread soup and an entree. Today was a pumpkin soup and duck with potenta.

Amazing food, and the service is excellent!!! Wow, they are so kind and giving you more and beyond. We will definitely come again!

We visited Osteria Riva for a business lunch. They offer 1 primo and 1 secondo, which were both very good. The service was kind and friendly.

I've eaten here twice and both times have been absolutely incredible! The food is excellent Ticinese fair, with perfectly cooked meats and polenta aplenty. The place is small, but it means that the staff have the time to personalize their service and make the experience one that you will remember!

Such a hidden gems. I went there with my husband after visit lugano. We took manzo cordon bleu (beef), frog with butter n polenta, frog with garlic n parsley (the best imho)... All the food were incredibly delicious. The interior was really classic, the service was outstanding and the price is affordable. If I can give 6 stars, i will definitely give.
