What a lovely place! Our room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We were slightly bothered by flies in the early morning, but hey, we were in the middle of the mountains, with cows just two meters away from the windows! The external showers were super clean, as was the rest of the establishment. The people who run Heimeli clearly do so with love, care and passion. We had a light lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and both were superb. The wine list features excellent local options. Would love to come back in winter.
Heimeli is simply wonderful! Easily reachable through a winter hike from Langwies which offers beautiful views. The place is warm and cozy, every detail is perfectly taken care of! The personnel is extremely nice and the food is delicious, including lots of vegetarian and vegan options! Highly recommended, we will certainly go back!
Alpine Paradise (regardless of your diet) It was our first (but definitely not last!) stay at Heimeli. Both my husband and I are vegans and staying in traditional Alpine hütte overnight with the exceptional vegan local menu was incredible. It was the first time we could try Bündner specialities. The food is definitely 12 out of 10. Vegan breakfast and lunchbox for the next day of hiking were fantastic as well. The personnel of Heimeli made us feel welcomed as soon as we stepped inside. Special thanks to Chrissy for her kindness and helpfulness. For instance, the day we left was pouring down with rain and we forgot the raincoats at home, she found a solution for it as well! Overall, exceptional experience! Highly recommended!
Very disappointed that couldn't get a good night sleep. Guests with kids start making noise at 7:00 and it can be heard in all rooms. Every person going to the toilet in the middle of the night can be very clearly heard. The floor and stairs creak loudly, even the bed creaks whenever you move. Waiting times in the restaurant are terrible. Can't have a dinner faster than in 2 hours. If you're taller than 160cm, you'll have to hunch all the time to avoid hitting your head. One of the mirrors is hung so low that I can only see my belly button in it. Wifi almost doesn't work. Location is awesome though. The food is good.
