Top of the Food St. Moritz

Kika & Maurizio are as lovely as their food is delicious — our favorite meal we had on our entire trip, including in all of Italy!

This was a true dining experience run by a charming husband and wife. They treat you as if you are at their home for dinner. The food is amazing and nothing normal. The menu varies based on local availabilities and the owners imagination for new ideas.

The storytelling of where all the ingredients come from and hearing about their story really made this such a unique, unforgettable experience. They create an atmosphere of connection and community. It’s like eating dinner at their home and making new friends with people at the restaurant. Must go! It’s so good I went again the next day!

We came right before closing time for lunch (didn’t see the separation of lunch and dinner times on Google Maps 😅), but the owners still let us stay. The experience felt personalized and peaceful, with great service and food. They were very accommodating of my nut allergy, letting us know of any potential contamination in certain foods and providing a wonderful nut-free option for the pasta.

What a unique experience! Kika and Maurizio were such fantastic hosts making us feel as if we got invited to their house and ate in their living room. They told us the story and the concept of top of the food which is so lovely. This place is a mix between restaurant and Italian specialty food store. Whatever you can buy in there, Maurizio is using to cook which gives you the opportunity to taste the goods before buying them. We had as an apero some charcuterie with meat and cheese as well as some other small bites. The main courses change very often keeping it interesting. While waiting for the food to be cooked, you see Maurizio picking ingredients from the shelves and you can enjoy some of the art they have set up. We had fantastic pasta with intense flavours cooked to the point. We left very happy with a full belly and pasta, parmigiano, olive oil and some more pasta to take home. We will definitely come back and recommend this place 100%! Thanks again for your hospitality :)!
