I recently spent a relaxed morning at Die Scherbe, tucked away on Stockergasse. From the moment I stepped inside, I appreciated the modern, light-filled space—with high ceilings, warm wood furniture, and sunny windows opening onto a lively pedestrian street. I started with a globally inspired brunch—rich roast pumpkin with dumplings, followed by fresh falafel and a vibrant root vegetable soup. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted, offering flavor and freshness while staying hearty and comforting. Service was genuinely warm and flexible. Staff were quick to accommodate dietary needs and menu explanations felt friendly, not rushed. The atmosphere balanced buzz and calm perfectly. Guests chatted casually, natural light flooded the room, and the bright tables made the space feel welcoming and easygoing. Die Scherbe stands out for its creative, inclusive menu, sunlit ambience, and genuinely caring hospitality. Went there for brunch today, and I must say everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the people working there were very friendly, and the overall atmosphere was great. They have a charming garden in the inner courtyard with natural shade and a small sandbox area for children. Highly recommended.

Food is very tasty, only the portion size is a bit small if you’re very hungry. Very friendly personnel and lovely atmosphere. 😊

The foods we tried were incredibly delicious. I loved the pumpkin pickle that they serves with dumplings. The staffs are very kind and they make time for clients who don’t speak German to describe the menu and foods.

Food was quite nice, particularly the root vegetable soup? Not sure what it was called but it was peppery and tasty. Service was very swift and fuss free.
