We visited this restaurant based on a personal recommendation and expected a refined experience given the elevated pricing. The courtyard is pleasant despite the busy street, but the service felt disorganized. Our waiter seemed to be in training, which would have been acceptable if guests weren’t made to feel like part of the process. The salads were mostly fine, though one – vaguely Greek in style – consisted almost entirely of tomatoes and a few slices of cucumber. What ultimately prompted me to write this review was the octopus carpaccio, which was served completely frozen. When I raised the issue, the senior waiter insisted this was “normal” and even claimed that beef carpaccio typically contains ice crystals. That was not just untrue – it felt like a blatant lie. I felt talked down to, deceived, and honestly a bit mocked. I hadn’t planned to leave any review, but that moment changed my mind. The main dishes were decent, but poorly portioned – a large piece of meat with just four potato wedges. At the end, we ordered two scoops of ice cream. The waiter didn’t know what flavors were available and finally offered vanilla. We were served three scoops without any decoration or effort. While said to be homemade, the presentation lacked care and imagination. I would have liked to share the enthusiasm of many other reviewers – but our experience simply didn’t reflect that.
Great service, nice food, good wine, good background music. Snails, frog legs and duck were tasty. Crème brûlée was ok, but don't expect the fresh pieces of vanila in the cream. Was a nice surprise to see South African wine. If I can give a feedback, get rid of the screen. People don't go to a gastro restaurant to watch soccer 😉
Service was good, but the food wasnt something special. Also there was hard to park.
Amazing food! Excellent service. Cozy environment! Definitely became one of our favorite places!!! Thank you!!
Food is excellent, garden is nice, service is top quality. Recommended!!!
