I often stay at this hotel on short business trips and it’s always a pleasure to return. The wellness and fitness facilities are fine. The breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety and great quality. What truly stands out, though, is the team: the staff are consistently friendly, attentive and genuinely helpful. The rooms are well appointed. If there’s one area that could be improved, it would be the toiletries, especially the soaps – the quality of the soaps and the fixed dispensers feel somewhat cheap compared with the otherwise higher standard of the hotel. On two occasions I also encountered minor issues with the toilet flush not working perfectly. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel’s exterior design means the view from many rooms is partially obstructed by a grid structure on the windows. Overall, this is a comfortable and well-run hotel with good amenities, outstanding service, and a genuinely pleasant atmosphere - a place I’m always happy to return to.
We are an English speaking couple who stayed here for 3 nights in September 2025. The hotel is beautiful in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The rooms were exceptionally clean, modern style and we loved our terrace overlooking the gardens. The hotel was quiet and soundproofed well. Staff were professional and spoke very good English when our language skills failed us. There is a well equipped gym and two beautiful swimming pools, one indoor, one outdoor. We didn't have a car and relied on public transport, which was excellent. I get the impression not many guests arrive by public bus, but it was ideal for us (Service C). The Europa Park and lake shore are a lovely short walk away; it was a joy to walk around here. We explored the whole See via the boat service which is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest pier, although again, public transport will reduce this if required. Negative - Breakfast was €25 per person. We chose to eat at a local bakery instead. In conclusion, this is a wonderful hotel for a relaxing stay in Carinthia and to explore the area. We hope to return and would not hesitate to book here again. Danke schön.
Everything was very good, but after the evening dinner on 19.09.2025, the billing was not correct, there were several dishes that were billed 10 EUR more than the menu price. The response to the complaint was that the evening portions are larger, which is why you have to pay more. We ordered dishes from the menu at a given price, but the billing was not correct!
what a wonderful place, rooney nice and cozy, spa and gym amazing. some workers could be more friendly but maybe it has something todo with the austrian grump! we would love to enjoy the breakfast but no vegan options, not even vegan milk. that's a normal thing in germany
If you like hotels that feel like they gave up on life years ago, this is the place. Upon check-in, the reception staff simply pointed us to our room without explaining where to find the gym, spa, restaurants, bars, or anything else the property might offer. No local recommendations, no enthusiasm – just the bare minimum. Apparently, guessing is part of the experience. The room? Big enough, separate toilet, wash room and sink in the room. Unfortunately our room was not ready to welcome guests - the sink area was a masterpiece of dust, stickiness, and general grossness. I asked for it to be cleaned, pointing out exactly what needed work. Reception promised someone would “take care of it.” No apology, no embarrassment. Spoiler: nothing was done or it was done so poorly that it made no difference. There was no follow-up or acknowledgement. Furniture looks like it remembers better days, curtains could use a meeting with a washing machine, and the whole place radiates “tired.” Not worth the 250+ Euros price tag. In short: there are plenty of hotels out there that still try. Pick one of those.
