Update Oct 2025: the responding owner is right. I had no food as I had not been welcomed or asked. Hence, I removed the 1 star for the food. The owner's answer is almost funny and entertaining though. Maybe it was a bad day. And maybe that's why the one star may seem unfair. But ultimately, reviews are always subjective. I went to the pub in the early evening. There were a lot of people there. There was no one behind the bar. In an Irish pub? I always thought that the bar was the hub of an Irish pub. There were obviously people waiting to order. There were trays of empty glasses on the bar. No one greeted me. Again, I think a pub is a social hub. Someone should at least say hello. I stood at the bar and waited for 10 minutes. Someone who was apparently a waiter served food and simply ignored me. The premises were appealing, though. They were really “Irish pub style.” I then left. It was frustrating. Exactly the opposite of what your are looking for when visiting an Irish pub. They have me the feeling that I was not welcome. Not recommended. Avoid. But maybe it was just a bad day. Three waiters were sick and the boss didn't have time. Whatever. It really deserved this one star in that evening. Others have shares similar experience already.

Great atmosphere, cosy back alley, drinks are good, service is very slow unfortunately. Vegan options on food menu would be nice.

The IPA on the menu is never available but the place is cool and the bartenders are always nice!

Outdoor garden seating is perfect during summer. Guinness pint is smooth paired with their finger food such as fries, breaded mushroom and variety of sauces such as BBQ, Sriracha Mayo, and many more. Vegetarian option available. Elaborate beverage menu from draft beers, shooters and whisky. A great place for a catch up with family and friends in Villach. Pet friendly place.

Irish Spirit in Villach .. nice Beer.. nice people.. great athmosphere ( great renovation).. nice wraps with thick chips .. altogether a perfect Irish pub ( with even a pool table) .. one star missing as the acoustics is not good- the noise level of people is very high and music and conversation is lost..
