A very pleasant beachside street food and cocktail bar. Friendly service, delicious burgers and cocktails. And the music is great too (mostly reggae). I recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a little chill.
Our favourite cafe around here. We were watered by Demis a few times and he is very professional and kind. Great coffee, ice cream and the homemade orange pie was the best I’ve ever had. I will be buying some to take back to Athens!
‘The Akrobat’ has become my absolute favourite place. Located directly on the street behind the beach, I would define it as a mixture of bistro and bar, but it is so much more. The owner and his partner* have created a very special place for their customers with a great deal of commitment and dedication. The two of them and their staff are a great team, highly professional, fast and always attentive, friendly, polite and helpful (have unfortunately become rather rare in Germany). Everyone is welcome here, from babies (who get mineral water for their bottles) to pensioners (who get their Tavli game). ‘The Akrobat’ is comfortably furnished with tables and chairs, but also with cosy seating, bright and friendly, open, with a view of the Aegean Sea. At the very back is the bar, which is so cleverly lit at night that the many bottles with their different colours create a beautiful effect. Everything is clean and tidy, even ‘backstage’. There is always great music of various genres playing and if you can't stay in your chair at night, you can also shake a leg. The food is super tasty, appetising and beautifully presented (there are too many delicious things for me to go into detail, but it's important to emphasise that everything is freshly made. As a lover of sweets, the lemon tart blew me away (*she is also the excellent pastry chef). The cocktails and long drinks are perfect and a delight. Watching them being prepared by the delicate yet powerful lady behind the counter is fascinating. The atmosphere here feels cosy, light and warm (not only because of the heat of the summer months), you can daydream, enjoy and celebrate. So, I hope I haven't forgotten anything, because the people here who do their best to give their guests a good time deserve my respect and appreciation. You can earn your money in different ways and here they do it with skill and heart! ‘The Akrobat - the Art of Street Food’ has now received an award based on customer contentment: ‘Eagle of Gastronomy’, 1st place, 2025
I’ve spent a few weeks in Agios Ioannis and kept coming back to this bar! They have high end cocktails, with great atmosphere and good music! The staff are kind and welcoming, especially George, who’s a real expert when it comes to alcohol! This is a perfect place to watch the sunset with a good cocktail and the best fries around!
The most lovely place! We had delicious burgers, homemade lemonades, topped off with homemade lemontarte - the best we ever had! Everything made with love and so delicious. Too bad we only visited for a day. Otherwise we would've come back!
