1870 - Restaurant Terrace Lounge

We had our 1-year anniversary dinner here in the 1870 restaurant on the top floor of the Grand Hotel Vienna. The package ticket was purchased on “Get your Guide” for €119/per person including a 3-course dinner, one concert ticket, and a Golden Collection CD. The restaurant has a very good atmosphere and there is live piano performance. For the main courses, we ordered a fish steak and a fried chicken steak, which also satisfied us, as the soup and dessert. The service in the restaurant is very good. I would recommend everyone to dine here.

Great restaurant with wonderful piano music playing and excellent food. You can order from the course menue or a la carte. All the dishes were an excellent surprise in culinary adventure with a wonderful sommelier to guide for a wine paring meal. I'm sure there is michelin star or two here. There were several complementary dishes that were excellent and dessert was not to missed!

We spend our weddings day at 1870 for dinner at the terrace. The service was superb and the grreetings from the kitchen were very delicious and fun to test. We just both had a starter and shared a Chateaubriand but at the end with the the different breads and all of the extras from the kitchen we were really filled :) Also the menue size is good and I beleive everyone will find something. We will for sure go there again!

The evening had its own charm - good food, good music and good service We ate at 1870 - Restaurant | Terrace | Lounge for the first time. It was a nice experience. The food tasted very good, one small suggestion for improvement: the food could be salted or seasoned a bit more. From appetiser to dessert everything was perfect. In addition to the food, the ambiance and the service was great. Furthermore, the pianist gave the evening a special atmosphere perfect for Christmas. Kudos to the service staff - they were very accommodating and kind. 1870 - 1870 - Restaurant | Terrace | Lounge is definitely to be recommended.

Spectacular food and top service in a less spectacular environment. Chef and Pastry Chef are amazing. Well worth a visit, never mind the dated interiors.
