Small, cozy, Hungarian restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. The goulash soup and paprika chicken were very good. Keep in mind that it can get a little busy during lunch hours and you might not be able to get a table. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy a comforting meal.
An old fashioned restaurant founded and run by Hungarian staff to present original Hungarian cuisine since mid 20th century. You cannot make wrong choice here regardless what you choose. Some photos depict small portions, and one the normal size. Even the small may be enough and is delicious. There’s a house speciality, Ilona-style pancake. Give it a try!
I ordered the goulash soup and a mixed salad — both were tasty and satisfying. The goulash had tender beef and a rich, flavorful broth, and the salad was fresh and well-balanced. The only downside was the bread, which was a little too hard for my taste. Overall, a solid place to try traditional dishes in a cozy setting.
Staff: very efficient Ambient: worm - like you went to your grandmother for a dinner Clear meat soup: great as expected Veal gulash: tasty but I'm not sure it is veal, for me there were no diference from the beef gulash Ilona Pancake: Soft and juicy. It jiggled like a jelly when you shake the plate. For me it was too rich in fillings, but I'm sure there are people who want to enjoy that luxury End: I have got a bit of candy before I have left
What an amazing restaurant! We found it by chance and were lucky to get two spots for dinner (but better to reserve, if you plan to go). The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, nice to try some Hungarian specialties.
