Urbankeller Salzburg

Just had Sunday lunch here with friends. The pork roast was delicious and I got it with potatoes instead of the dumplings. It was accompanied with a cabbage salad with bacon in it. So this was a good choice. The deep fried champignons were delicious too and a big portion, I do however think that for the price a small salad should be accompanied with the fried mushrooms. It would only be fitting and fair. For this I’m giving one less star. I also had a crepe with ice cream. Also very good. The prices are high per usual in Salzburg and it is unfortunately the reason why many locals no longer go out for dinner or lunch. It’s more expensive in Salzburg now than in Norway where I grew up. That’s crazy. But the food was good and our waiter was very nice and on top of things and great overall.

We were there for a dinner. Amazing vibe and a very friendly and attentive staff. He also recommended some dishes and they turned out very tasty. We tried their day special celery soup and it was so delicious. We then tried kasnocken, a Austrian speciality, it's a baked cheese dish but we didn't like it much. May be because of our tastes mainly. Then we had their dessert of a day, it was very tasty and we enjoyed it a lot. It's a place worth visiting. I would definitely recommend it.

We found this restaurant as it was near to our hotel. What a find! The food was amazing, great tasting, very attentive service, the prices were good for the portion sizes, there was a quiz going on in another area that just added to the great atmosphere. Well worth a visit! 😁

We were trying to find a place for food on a Saturday evening and everywhere was very busy with bookings. We took a chance they could accommodate us and they did find a table for us next to the bar area (2). The food was absolutely fantastic and staff very accommodating.

Another good place for traditional Austrian food. Nice atmosphere and super friendly service. Food was good and came in very generous portions. Highlights were the Schweinsbraten and Topfenknödel (dessert) We will be back!
