We had a fantastic evening at The Glass Garden. We walked up from the river, and it's quite a trek, but so worth it. Everything was perfect. Chef Wagner and his staff are so creative, and it was hard to name a favorite because everything was perfect. The service was spot on. Friendly, accommodating, and helpful - they took great care of us. The views are amazing and the Chihuly is a bonus in a lovely space. If you are in Salzburg, make this one of your dinners. You won't regret it.

Let me start by saying—this restaurant sits high up in the hills. Getting there is a bit of a trek, and yes, I hiked up in heels… so you know I mean it when I say it’s worth the effort. You get an amazing panoramic view of Salzburg and the surrounding mountains. We went with the six-course menu for $195, along with the wine pairing—five glasses for $99. The pours are on the smaller side, but still enjoyable. Six courses is definitely a lot of food! We also ordered the duck liver, which I highly recommend. It’s prepared three ways: pâté, grilled, and a rich, creamy spread. All were unique and flavorful, but the grilled version was my favorite—tender, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Definitely a dish you can share. Overall, the restaurant is absolutely worth a visit for the experience and the stunning views. It’s a truly beautiful spot.

Glass Garden is a must visit. From start to finish the entire experience is top notch. I have a gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate everything, which I was so thankful for. We did the full tasting menu and beverage pairing and would absolutely recommend to anyone! The service staff was wonderful and paid such great attention to every detail. We had the honor of meeting their Executive Chef - he was remarkable. Goes to show the kind of environment he has created for his team.

We had dinner here — truly the best Michelin-starred restaurant I’ve ever visited. Of course, the food was incredible, but what stood out even more was the service. Laura was exceptional. She took care of every little detail with such grace and professionalism. I know top restaurants are expected to offer great service, but having been to a few, this one truly went above and beyond. The entire experience was seamless, warm, and memorable — all thanks to Laura. Also, the hotel Schloss is a wonderful place to stay — charming, elegant, and full of character. Highly recommended!

This is probably the most beautiful experience dining at the top of Salzburg (on top of a hill). I love the fact that they allow you to select ala carte options from their 4 course or 6 course set menu, have very apt wine pairing with every dish, lovely amuse bouche, bread / butter and Madeline’s to end the meal, and of course the view - oh the view! I also love that they paid attention to my reservation and noted that we are celebrating our anniversary, and gave us a little something to bring home. I had my best Austrian wine from this restaurant, and conclude that even though the bill came up to around 100+ euro per person, it was very euro well spent!
