The location is good, the dishes nothing special and it's very expensive. I don't think I go again. The service was excellent
Very tasty, especially the goulash soup, it's worth ordering in advance, very busy place
Really nice atmosphere as soon as you step into the restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Food was simple and so good, just what we needed for lunch.
Small, cozy, Hungarian restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. The goulash soup and paprika chicken were very good. Keep in mind that it can get a little busy during lunch hours and you might not be able to get a table. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy a comforting meal.
An old fashioned restaurant founded and run by Hungarian staff to present original Hungarian cuisine since mid 20th century. You cannot make wrong choice here regardless what you choose. Some photos depict small portions, and one the normal size. Even the small may be enough and is delicious. There’s a house speciality, Ilona-style pancake. Give it a try!
2024-October We arrived right when Ilona Stüberl opened at 11:30 on a weekday and were seated right away. Service was prompt and friendly — our drinks were taken and served immediately. We tried the Hungarian Goulash Soup, Wiener Schnitzel, Beef Goulash with white rice, and a soda. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared. There were two portion sizes to choose from — small and normal — and we went with the normal portions, which turned out to be huge! We ended up taking half of it home. Our total came to $62, including a 10% tip. Overall, a great experience with hearty, authentic food and excellent service. Highly recommend stopping by for a satisfying meal. Bon Appétit 😋
