This is a fantastic find on a small, quiet street. The atmosphere is just lovely, especially when sitting outside on the terrace in the evening as the light fades. The staff are very friendly and attentive, even when the restaurant gets busy. The menu features traditional local food that is consistently good. The prices are reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality you receive. A word of advice: it's best to book a table in advance, as it can get quite popular. Highly recommended!
We happened upon this restaurant and were very lucky! I only regret that I filled up on delicious bread and couldn’t finish my entree which was truly one of the best meals I’ve had. I had chicken on potato salad- sounds simple, but absolutely blew me away. It was truly fantastic.
Highly recommend for anyone visiting Vienna and looking for both quality food and a warm atmosphere! The food is truly delicious, with rich flavors and I was happy to find gluten-free options on the menu. The staff made the experience even better: they were not only professional and efficient, but also genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
We had a fantastic experience at Restaurant Ofenloch! They were able to accommodate us without a reservation, which we really appreciated. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal, with excellent recommendations that didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant—very enjoyable. As someone who eats gluten-free, I was especially grateful for the clearly marked options and knowledgeable staff. A lovely dining experience all around—we’d happily return!
The restaurant boasts an elegant atmosphere and high-quality service. The beetroot soup is exceptional, offering a rich flavor profile that balances sweet, sour, and savory notes beautifully. Additionally, the lamb rack paired with its accompaniments and the layered French baked potatoes are particularly noteworthy. To finish the meal, we ordered the Apple Strudel, a traditional Viennese pastry that is quite popular in Austria. It was the perfect conclusion to our dining experience. I highly recommend this dessert; it is delicious without being overly sweet.
