Without a doubt, one of the best meals of my life! We really saved the best for last for our final meal in Brussels! The mussels are extraordinary and itβs hard to articulate how good the melted chocolate served over ice cream is! I highly recommend reservations as the place fills up quickly.
I really wanted to like this place more, especially since the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The highlight of our meal was definitely the chips, which were perfectly cooked and delicious with ketchup. Unfortunately, the main dishes didn't live up to the same standard. The mussels lacked freshness and tasted like something you could get from a supermarket. The fish stew was okay, but it wasn't memorable. We left feeling a bit disappointed with the food.
The food was overall really good. We got the Mussels, Farm Chicken, Duck (Leg) and steak. The mussels were extremely juicy & delicious, definitely the most recommended item. Our waiter, Thomas, was very friendly, approachable and alert during all the times of the service. He provided us with everything we needed in a professional and friendly manner.
Excellent Belgian restaurant, situated next to the popular galleries. The food was really great and the service was efficient and helpful. I would definitely return. You should make a reservation as the seating inside gets full quickly.
We had an excellent meal here. The waterzooi was particularly memorably. Iβve always like seafood chowder type of dishes and looked forward to trying this local dish. I was more than delighted with the choice. The portion was excellent, three separate fillets of fish along with other seafood. It was creamy but not overly heavy on the palate. As with the other dishes, the mussels were fresh and juicy and the beef in the carbonnade melts in your mouth. However, the vegetable ravioli was bit too salty. I would have loved to return but I was only visiting the city for a few days. Interestingly. I have not seen waterzooi in other restaurants I visited in my time in Brussels (I wonder why). It will only live in my culinary memory nowβ¦π’
