Frank isn’t the kind of place you stumble across, and I think that’s kind of the point. Hidden away on a low-key Brussels street with barely any signage, it’s the definition of a “if you know, you know” café. But walk through the door and you're instantly rewarded: bright natural light, a calm minimalist interior, and the kind of coffee you actually want to sip slowly. I went for an iced oat latte (twice with no regrets), and it was easily one of the best I had on this trip. Smooth, nutty, and balanced with none of that watery afterthought energy. Food-wise, I ordered the Eggs Francine; a colourful, seasonal plate with poached eggs, roasted pumpkin, sunchokes, baked greens, and the brightest, zingiest hollandaise I’ve had in ages. It’s brunch that actually feels considered. What makes Frank stand out is the quiet confidence: no need to shout about itself, no over-designed gimmicks. Just quality ingredients, a semi-open kitchen, and the kind of laid-back elegance that makes you want to stretch your coffee break by an extra hour. Worth the hunt.

I can see why this place has such great reviews. First time visiting Brussels. The staff were lovely and speak English. The food was delicious we had the eggs Benedict with salmon. And a matcha latte. If I got to Brussels again l will definitely come back here.

A beautiful brunch spot with incredible food. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, and it was so flavorful and tasty. I could have eaten two (but one was plenty). We also had a filter coffee, and it didn’t disappoint. Be prepared to wait in a queue on weekends. For us, it was very quick (~3 minutes), but those who arrived after us had to wait a bit longer. Still, it’s definitely worth coming back!

Bright and airy, stylish in a nice way. The waitress was wonderful and even turned off the music (has people close to her who also have difficulty with intrusive noise) the natural sounds of the place were so much nicer 💜 I had the sourdough toast and the bread was lovely, my cappuccino was very well made and good. My daughter was very happy with her eggs and loved her cold brew tonic, she in fact had three 😆walked out with one. I am coming again, will gladly walk 15 min for my morning cuppa.

Frank was recommended for me by a friend (apparently the other branch). This particular branch was a terrible experience, I couldn’t believe such absence of service is still possible. So we came over at 14:30 (1,5 hours before they close) and asked for a table inside as I was with my wife and our 4-year old daughter. The inside was literally empty and we thought we can choose any table, but guess what? The waitress told us “We already closed that part, so you can only take this table” (where everyone passes by and near the toilets). When I said “it’s rather inconvenient” she’s made a face if I’d said something wrong about her relatives. We were already ‘surprised’ but hungry and the place was recommended for me as a tasty one. Then the other waitress brought us the welcome bottle of water and guess what? A fly under the cap, what a pleasant welcome, they don’t even bother to check. Now, the food came relatively fast and it was actually not bad as well as the coffee, but guess what? I had to fight the eggshell with my teeth, see some on the picture. And theeeen, the “closed” part was suddenly opened to a couple of boys first and then the other couple. Maybe because they came without children? (I’ve not seen any notice that the place is not welcoming children, but based on the menu and the attitude of the stuff, it does not). Then I went to pay the bill and was waiting near the cashier for a good minute as the busy staff was discussing something much more important than letting me pay my bill and leave the unpleasant place for good. And guess what? No one asked how was the food. No one asked how was the experience. No way, they just don’t care about the experience of the guests. They only care about their day finishing in 55 minutes and counting seconds until those annoying customer get out and let them rest, poor things. So yes, my worst experience in years.
