This was our second visit to The Terrace Restaurant, and once again everything was wonderful. We ordered two bowls of mussels ..one with garlic and cream, and the other with Roquefort and cream — both were absolutely delicious. We also tried the fish soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. A fantastic dining experience with consistently excellent food. We’ll definitely be back again!
Do not go there - Deceived by Good Google Reviews! After seeing good Google reviews we decided to visit this restaurant. The service was sufficient but below average for restaurants that charge €30 per dish. The food was not good at all and I don't say this lightly. Yes there are prawns and mussels in the Paella, but it's somehow very bitter and have very bad after taste like there's dirt mixed in. The fish was average to be fair - but I was expecting something nice for €25 - not to mention the side of fries were not crispy and was flavourless. If you're looking for a good experience of Brussels - don't start here.
Loved how the menu shows photos of all the items. Huge portions. Reasonable downtown city prices. Food took a while to serve together. Very nice fries. I did not find a single dead mussel within my full 1-kg-bucket, which was kind of impressive.
Position and environment were really lovely, and this enticed us to go in and eat. Unfortunately the food was poor. The salad was tasty and quite fresh, but covered in a dreadful dressing, completely unnecessary for a greek salad. Not enough feta. We think the chicken had been deep fried more than once and was greasy and completely dried out. The chips were overcooked and we didn't eat them. The traditional beef stew was tasty. No vegetables. Shocked at the rating!
We came here to try one of Belgium’s signature dishes—carbonnade flamande—and it truly didn’t disappoint. The meat was incredibly tender, just the way I love it. I was absolutely delighted. I highly recommend this place if you want to try a traditional local dish—this restaurant won’t let you down.
