On our four-day trip to Brussels, we visited this place twice for food and even more often for drinks. It’s a lovely venue with great coffee, food, and juices. We had the Eggs Benedict twice because it was that delicious. There’s also an outdoor seating area at the back, with beautiful vines and plants growing up the walls and ceiling, creating an amazing atmosphere. The pricing is very fair for the quality of the food and service.

Woodpecker Café is a cozy and inviting spot that truly delivers on flavor and atmosphere. The highlight of their menu is without doubt the waffles—perfectly light, fluffy, and topped with just the right balance of sweetness, making them some of the best you’ll find around. A must-try is their signature Drunken Sailor, a bold and memorable dish that stands out for its unique mix of flavors and generous portion, leaving a lasting impression. The service is warm and attentive, and paired with the rustic, welcoming ambiance, the café makes for an ideal place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast, brunch, or casual meet-up. Prices are fair for the quality and care put into each dish, making Woodpecker Café a spot well worth revisiting.

Fantastic quality eggs Benedict, orange juice and cappuccino for breakfast. A wonderful start to the day. If you are staying in Schuman it’s worth ditching the hotel breakfast and going here.

Nice brunch but they are falling in the typical mistakes of a big franchise. Quality is good but they don’t take care of the details, in many other places in Brussels you may find better brunch with larger portions for the same price. Is not possible that in a Benedict eggs 3/4 of the plate is the decoration salad.

We were there quite early on Sunday morning so it was nice and quiet especially since we have a toddler. Food was excellent. Staff accommodating of changes to standard orders. An excellent brunch find to end our quick weekend trip.
