Absolutely loved the experience! The service was warm, attentive, and professional — you can tell the staff really care. The food was incredible, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I had a little laugh at the cheesecake’s decoration — it looked like something out of a crime scene (don’t worry, just my sense of humor), but it tasted phenomenal! The location is a bit off the beaten path, nestled in a more industrial area outside the city. That said, the peaceful surroundings and surprisingly nice view made it feel like a relaxing getaway. Personally, I loved the quiet atmosphere — a great break from the usual city chaos. I’m not sure if they offer it, but the space seems perfect for private events or birthday celebrations — spacious, calm, and stylishly done. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Food, service, and views at the place were amazing! We had the oysters and burrata for starters - super fresh and delicious, and then had the shimeji risotto and cod for mains. We enjoyed the meal very much and the prices were reasonable. Best part was that we were treated to amazing sunset views over dinner - incredible experience and can’t wait to be back.
We had a great time at this venue, the location is beautiful and the view amazing, the waiters were attentive and professional, definitely above Antwerp standard. The food was delicious and well presented. 100% recommended.
A truly exceptional dining experience at ALO Antwerp. The Kabeljauwfilet was delicately cooked, paired with a silky hollandaise sauce and tender baby carrots—pure elegance on a plate. The Zalmfilet with lemon-dill butter offered a rich, perfectly balanced flavor, while the Shimeji-risotto stood out as a creamy, earthy delight, layered with depth. The house berry mocktail was both refreshing and artfully presented. From the refined ambiance to the warm, attentive service, every detail was top-tier. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Mahmoud for the evident skill, creativity, and passion reflected in each dish. ALO Antwerp is a culinary gem not to be missed.
The atmosphere and view here was really gorgeous. However; the service was not very friendly and not very quick either. The food was average bar food. Drinks were fine, a bit expensive compared to other spots nearby.
