Sat in the left bar room. Small menu, I wished there would have been a white meat or fish for 1 choice. Had artichoke and asparagus starters - average for the season specialty and the starter crab cake - excellent. Service was attentive and very good.
English: I can only say WOW! Two of my friends and I saw this place here on Google Maps, and because of the quite good ratings and our wish of eating our first good steak in Belgium we went here. We had 50 minutes for eating, because we where part of a Austrian school trip. As soon as we entered the comftable building we where welcomed by a very friendly guy, who helped us choosing our meals. You do have the possibility to sit next to the kitchen-bar, so did we. Everything was good looking and beautiful. We ordered the lunch menu, and because we were not allowed to drink any alcohol, we got a discount at the end. They were even so nice to exchange my pork steak with a delicious dry aged beef from the southern France instead of my wine. At the end we payed only 20β¬ per the pork steak, and 25β¬ for the dry aged beef steak, which usually costs in its quality class more then 60β¬ in other places! Summary: Extremely delicious, fine and fresh food for reasonable prices, and an extraordinary friendly staff! Can only recommend it. P.S.: The wine is also very good there!
It all starts with a warm welcome. You will be seated at the counter of the kitchen or the bar - there is one table for those who prefer this. The food is excellent, service great and the wine list is really terrific with a lot of wines "a bit out of the ordinary" but excellent of quality.
Absurdly overpriced. But also the best bread in town. We waited for over an hour for our main dish, and the waiter claimed the most absurd excuses. Steak was great although 50% of it was just fat. Wine was good - overpriced but well recommended as the pairing for our food. So much greatness around this snobby spot - if you come to Antwerp, you can do better.
Best restaurant in Belgium. Staff is the most welcoming we ever experienced. Top quality products prepared with love. Tasty wines. Every detail is taken care of. Open kitchen. Highly recommended! πβ€οΈβπ₯ππ»
