I had been once many years ago but happy to say that this place is as good as ever! Serving typical Belgian favourites and a sprinkle igniter cuisines, it is a great location for couples or a small group to enjoy a night out and they complement it with friendly service and good recommendations. Prices are slightly higher than average (smack in the city centre) but plan in advance and you will be surprised with what you find.
Excellent service and exquisite food, truly highly recommended if you're in the area and want to eat something delicious. It's usually always packed, but that day we were lucky enough to get a table and we truly loved everything.
Every time I see this place, it's always full. Even though it's clearly just ordinary Belgian home-style cuisine, I still wanted to give it a try. I arrived at 8:15, and the grilled sea bream and escargot were already sold out, leaving an even smaller selection of dishes. The truffle beef tartare was probably the worst I've ever had, and the steak released a lot of blood, with mediocre taste and quality. The asparagus soup was pretty good, fries are good.
The tartar is a must get item! The chicken vol au vent was a little bland but not horrible. I would recommend this place! Best tartar we have had in Belgium!
Amazing food and amazing staff! I had the flemish stew, which was wonderfully seasoned. I was looking forward to trying it while in Belgium, and I think I picked the perfect spot for it!
