If you’re looking for one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in Antwerp, Tjoung Tjoung is the place to go. The dishes are full of bold, traditional flavors—just like what you’d find in Thailand. The ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. It’s definitely a must-visit spot for Thai food lovers in the city.”
- Despite enjoying the food, we won’t be returning due to poor service. Although we confirmed over the phone that there would be space for a baby carriage, the staff (lady with glasses and ponytail) acted annoyed upon our arrival and claimed we should have been more specific. When I explained that I had mentioned it, she showed no reaction or apology. The service remained cold and lacked the warmth typically associated with Thai hospitality. - Minor detail, but something that bothers me personally: the table’s default setting is with knife and fork, which is weird for Thai food → Spoon and fork! The staff did provide spoons when we asked for them of course. + The green curry with duck tasted very nice! I could have done with some more/bigger pieces of meat, but the amount was acceptable. + Yam pla muk (squid in citrusy sauce) was nice too! Good portion size and plenty of veggies. + Chicken satay was not too greasy, and the peanut sauce was nice and rich. Tasted fresh! + Drinks were great! (Coconut juice and mango juice)
Truly Thai Restaurant, the food is amazing. I would recommend buying different main courses and sharing, so you can try different flavors. Use the sauces on the table for enhancing the dishes.
A hidden gem in Antwerp. I've been trying different food here and it never disappoints. I can't enjoy pad thai in any other place after eating here.
We had the beef noodles soup and Tom Yam noodles soup. They even had thai drinks. It was delicious and it’s an authentic thai food. I’ll come back for sure! The staff is also really kind!
