Gluten and lactose free dishes/bread/pastries Amazing service and food! We went with people that were gluten and lactose intolerant and they were able to adapt some dishes to their need. Appart from that, everything was good and the terrace inside is very pleasant! Good portions!

Beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service! We got the quiche Lorraine (SO good!) and some croissants. The inside is beautiful and the middle section has a retractable roof so it’s like being on a patio. Highly recommend.

It was our first time in Bruges and our server at dinner suggested Carpe Diem as the best breakfast spot. So glad that she did. Like all of the places in Bruges that we visited, we were asked if we'd made a reservation. We had not. But they were able to find us a small cafe table for two in an interior sunroom. It was Mother's Day so I was really happy to get a table. The line for bakery takeout was already out the door. Food and service were impeccable. If I were to visit again I'd go here each morning of my stay just to try all of their menu items. You won't be disappointed.

Carpe Diem Bakery & Tea-room was a disappointment. We sat in a covered garden on a late winter day. After 15 minutes of sitting, the roof to the garden was opened without asking if it was ok and without offering guests a blanket. Secondly the food took 30 minutes to come out. Had we ordered dishes that had to be made individually it could have been understood. A slice of quiche and two fried cheese croquettes took much longer than anticipated. To top it off, the restaurant charged €9 for a bottle of water with gas. While the restaurant looked nice, it proved to be a major disappointment and extremely expensive for the quality

Beautiful bakery with friendly staff and incredible goods. Highly recommend getting the quiche if you are looking for a quick bite in the morning.
