Quite an interesting place. Small and cozy / friendly, each dish looks like a piece of art, and tastes pretty good. It does take ages before dishes arrive, and portions are microscopic, so I think one is supposed to eat before coming here, and enjoy the finger food around drinks. This place could be a 5 star, but the steep pricing for the tiny quantities, and the fact that the food doesn't taste as amazing as it looks (mind you, it DOES taste good, but not in proportion to the price and quantity), makes it hard to do so.
Delicious meal in the center of Ghent! Lots of care and thought went into the meal. Each dish had balanced flavors and beautiful presentation. Wines were top, and everyone working their did it with joy and care. Much recommended!
Nice place for small plates. I had a small plate of lamb (lamb neck, in fact) €28 that was full of flavor. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. The wine was not bad.
We were at this restaurant last night. It was terrific. A very good welcome, great guidance through the different wines offered, and a strong menu. The sea bass was the stand out dish - but all was excellent.
We had an amazing time at Chubby Cheeks. It's a hidden gem in the heart of Ghent and a must for foodies and lovers of natural wine. The service was very attentive.
