The restaurant is a bit on the high side, for a richer clientele, I personally would never choose such a place to sit, but we accepted the invitation of our Belgian colleagues to take us to dinner. An outstanding choice. The food is superb, refined, aristocratic, the flavours are the realm of the senses, very fine combinations that you have probably never tried before. It was one of the best restaurant meals of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
Excellent dishes in a truely beautiful building. Owner Steve looked after us very well! It was a very special occasion for mums 84th birthday and she enjoyed it very much.
Lovely place for dinner, food was perfect, nice old classic interior at an old house where you can see and enjoy the history of the city on the walls, service has some room for improvement. I will still recommend it for a classic nice dinner at the heart of Ghent.
We had lunch at his beautiful restaurant, the food and the atmosphere were so great that we booked also for dinner. The food is wonderful and the service friendly and attentive. I had a delicious dish of lamb, cooked beautifully ! For dessert I chose zabaglione, it was the best one I ever had ! The restaurant is located in an old palace in the centre of Ghent, the decor alone is worth a visit, highly recommended!
I was really disappointed with this restaurant. The food is severely overpriced for what you get. They charged 10€ for a bottle of plain tap water without telling us beforehand, which feels dishonest. Portions are tiny—the croquettes in particular tasted like something from a frozen supermarket pack. To make things worse, it took at least 20 minutes just to get the bill, even though the place wasn’t that busy. Definitely not worth the money or the experience.
