What an incredible experience! The chef has done an amazing job with his concept. When in Ghent do not miss this place but do make reservations.

This is one of those unique dining experiences that can really make a visit to a new city. The food is so good and authentic as the chef is from the city. He is friendly and happy to share some stories and nice conversation with you and hearing about the origin of the recipes, the meaning to him and his family and how he came up with the idea for the restaurant really adds to the experience. Such a nice small space to dine in as well without feeling overwhelmed like in a larger restaurant. The Flemish stew was amazing! Highly recommend!

Really cozy atmosphere for private fine dining. Owner has attention to fine details for plating and tastes.

This is an amazing place, with marvellous food that will make you feel that you are eating at a local home. The aromas will greet you on entry, and the presentation and taste of food will surprise you pleasantly. It’s definitely a place to recommend. I went with my wife and daughter and we had an amazing time.

Just amazing - don't think, get the Stoverij. Very special. But it's small, don't think you can walk in - make a reservation. The owner is the only staff, and he's friendly, polite and speaks excellent English, and is super proud of his place - as he should be!
