The best food I’ve had so far in Bulgaria. Everything was delicious, homemade, truly spectacular. The service is amazing. Special mention to the owner’s dog who keeps you company while you eat.
Really good food even late in the day, vegetarian and vegan friendly. Happy to stumble upon this close to where we stayed in Plovdiv. Good ingredients and friendly staff. Lively looking inside
Lovely owner. Very delicious and cheap food in amazing quality for a great value of money. All regional ingredients! menu changes over time. I do really recommend this place. Many vegetarian options too. I had a soup and and fried potatoes for less than 10 лв Keep in mind: Fresh food is cooked once a day. Once it's gone, it's gone. Lunchtime offers the best selection. I was there for dinner at 6pm and still got a good variety but it’s not supposed like this every day. You have to be lucky. When it’s sold out they close keep that mind.
I stumbled into Farm Bites late in the afternoon, half-convinced they were about to close, but they welcomed me like an old friend and made sure I didn’t leave hungry. The setup is buffet-style, but not in the sad-tray-of-lukewarm-rice kind of way. It’s more like: “Here’s what we made fresh today with what came off the farm—what looks good to you?” I ended up with meatballs and potatoes, a shopska salad (which you should absolutely not miss in Bulgaria), and some sheep’s yogurt with jam that hit the spot on a hot summer day. The inside is cozy and colorful—clearly put together with care, not just for the ‘gram. But what really won me over is that this place actually feels like Bulgaria. Not fancy fusion, not fast food, not trying to be anything but itself. It’s local food, made from local farms, served up by people who seem to really care. In a city where a lot of places are either “fine dining with foam” or kebabs in 3 minutes flat, this was a refreshing in-between. Perfect if you’re a traveler who wants to sit down, eat well, and feel like you’re supporting the right kind of business while doing it.
Great food, the atmosphere is relaxed, easy-going and artsy. Price is inexpensive for the quality it offers (which is just 👌, as an Italian might say)!
