The van bar

I actually don't like the place very much. The beer is of the cheapest and worst quality, and the same applies to the wine they have on the menu. When I was there, I found the service both indifferently arrogant, and actually also downright rude. The surroundings are pleasant, but there are many other places in the city where you get better quality drinks, and not least service and surroundings.

This little gem is a great find in the middle of Old Town Chania. The standout attribute of the Van Bar is not only the great drinks they serve, but the service. Sandy has to be one of the most delightful, sweetest hostesses we encountered in our 10 day stay. You can get a good drink all around Old Town Chania but Sandy was the reason we returned almost every night.

We found the bar by accident and loved it so much, we returned for a few times. They have good local beer (Charma), very good selection of coctails and most important - the staff is the friendliest we encounter within our holidays in Chaniá. Cheers!

Favourite bar in Chania, great service very friendly staff, the pale ale is lovely and so was the mojito! Will visit again!
