CottoCrudo at Four Seasons Prague delivers a refined dining experience with postcard-worthy views of Prague Castle across the river. Service is attentive and efficient. The menu is well executed—the crispy duck breast is the clear highlight, and the desserts finish the meal on a high note. Overall, it’s a nice, well-executed dining experience in one of the city’s best settings. An experience that genuinely stands out in Prague.
Stunning location, but food and service need improvement CottoCrudo, located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Prague, offers a truly elegant and refined setting, definitely the highlight of the experience. Service was generally good, though not flawless, as they forgot one course, which was later corrected without much issue. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. Dishes are beautifully presented, but the flavors lack balance and substance. The seasoning is often overwhelming and not always well-matched. For instance, the tagliatelle with red prawns (as shown in the photos) had such a strong orange flavor that it completely masked the taste of the prawns. In true Italian cuisine, and the chef claims to be Italian, flavors should be paired with finesse and restraint. The turbot dish was another disappointment, with very little fish and too many sauces with conflicting tastes that drowned out any hint of the sea. When you pay a premium for a dinner, you expect more. But the biggest issue of the night came from the sommelier, who offered a substitute wine without showing us the wine list and, more importantly, without mentioning that it would cost twice as much as the original bottle. That’s not acceptable. When the bill arrived, we ended up paying €280 for two, largely due to the wine. I paid without making a fuss, but I doubt I’ll return. The three stars are mainly for the beautiful location.
A Memorable Dining Experience with Thoughtful Service From the moment a staff member graciously took my coat upon arrival to the final moment of signing the bill, every part of my experience here brought me joy. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff were exceptional. A particularly delightful moment was when my server playfully asked me to sign the receipt "like a movie star"—I couldn't help but smile like a child. The three-course meal was exquisite, and I chose the Italian cheese platter for dessert. However, the apple compote listed on the menu was missing. When I inquired, the manager explained that there had been a slight menu adjustment and apologized for not informing me in advance. I appreciated the explanation and thanked them for their kindness. To my surprise, a few moments later, the kitchen sent out a specially prepared fruit compote just for me. This thoughtful gesture truly highlighted the impeccable hospitality of the restaurant. For those seeking refined dining in Prague, I highly recommend experiencing the elegance of this fine dining establishment at the Four Seasons Hotel. With gratitude, A traveler from Korea :)
Located in the Four Seasons by the Vltava, CottoCrudo offers chic Italian-Mediterranean dining with river and castle views. Highlights include Sicilian prawn crudo, homemade linguine, smoked scallop risotto, and Mediterranean sea bass. Elegant ambiance and top-tier service complete the experience.
Superb restaurant with a great service, awesome food, view and atmosphere, however, they serve pot of hot tea with a plastic strainer🫣I was really disappointed, I thought nowadays everyone aware that plastic strainers release microplastic into your tea, leading to serious health risks… I recommend to switch to a steel strainer for a safer and healthier choice!🙌🏼 I hope it will be changed🙃
