Restaurace Mincovna

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Prague. The food quality is exceptional. I had knee of young piglet and bun dumplings, both are amazing. The skin of the knee very crispy, the meat is tender and easy to fall off the bone, really tasty. The service also excellent, the waiter tried to warn me the amount of food I ordered for one person, which is very thoughtful. Highly recommend, if you want to try some traditional Czechia food. The local beer is also great.

We came in on a Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. My goulash with roasted vegetables and ginger lemonade was superb. My friend had the sausage appetizer and the gnocchi entree. I tried them both and they were delicious as well. Our waiter, Richard, was excellent. I’ve seen recommendations to avoid restaurants in Old Town because they are often tourist traps, but this place is an exception! Try it 😊

Very nice spot to have Czech food. This is the best pork knuckle we have. It’s very tender. The duck leg is tasty. Also we have the potato dumplings it was so tasty to dip in the beef goulash. I really recommend them.

We didn’t realize how busy it would be so we weren’t able to get a table right away but we were seated at the bar and were able to order some food. We tried the pickled trout and sausages to start, and had the goulash and the beef brisket and it was all so delicious. Our waiter kindly found us a table eventually and moved us there after. When we visit Prague again we will be returning!

I had a fantastic experience at Restaurace Mincovna. The atmosphere is simply beautiful l, elegant but also comfortable, with a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay longer. The food was the real highlight: the tartare was perfectly prepared, fresh and full of flavor, while the goulash was absolutely outstanding, rich and satisfying, one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy traditional Czech dishes at their best, in a setting that feels both special and authentic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Prague.
