Degustation Grand menu for 1639. The service was extremely friendly and environment was top. The meal was good and fabulous plating and presentation. Here goes: I love fois gras but seeing it appear twice in the menu…..The first time was absolutely lovely with the buckwheat drink. The second time with the main felt a bit too much and the beef tenderloin was overly salty (salt soaked through the entire interior of meat) and cooking process could be improved (higher heat on the sear). The meat was rare inside and unenjoyable to eat with a strange taste but the al dente pasta was a joy, and enjoyed the soup with Fish, shrimp, tomato, coriander, walnut with coconut espume. It may be a bit salty for some but to me, was enjoyable. Not a fan of chicken terrine and menu felt a bit all over the place. Dessert I could not finish. The raspberry sorbet was overly sweet, and I am not a fan of goat milk cheesecake. Edit: 5 hours later, I had very bad stomach cramps and blame the poorly cooked tenderloin. I should not have eaten it. I think there is potential for a great restaurant through more training and collaborations with other chefs. One can never stop learning! Go chefs! 🙌

After having recently gone to a couple of 1 Michelin Star restaurants in Spain, we went back to Borgo to see if we still prefer their food and quality of ingredients. I think for the price of their dishes and tasting menus they are unbeatable. While not every dish was perfect, they certainly were all good and some excellent. The service is friendly and more on the casual side, but I think it adds to its charm. The design of the restaurant is still amazing, with some tables better than others, but overall the ambiente is just right. The wine paring menu was not one of the better ones we had here, but that could just be by chance. Long story short, after 9 years and 10+ visits its still the best overall restaurant we have been too.

Thank you to all the staff for a lovely service and atmosphere. We had a lovely time, big thank you to our waitress who did amazing job and was very helpful. Maybe just a little advice to the management, it may be a good idea to add service charge to the bill to avoid confusion as not everyone travelling from abroad can work it out the exchange currency and it is not fair then on the staff to get low pay and disability access maybe something to consider too. Otherwise all was wonderful! Thank you.

We were here on a special occasion, I’ll start with the positive, the atmosphere is amazing, but that’s where it stops as the food is not what you would expect as anything that would WOW you, everything is good but just good that’s all, our night was going perfect until the main course came which had a part of Cartillage or bone of chicken inside it that could’ve gone so wrong regarding teeth and would not expect it at the restaurant of this level, when I mentioned the bone to the waiter he just acknowledged it and didn’t say anything about it, not even a sorry, considering the prices I would have expected a better experience, or just a better response to the bone found in the food
