We had a very nice dinner . Friendly and easy going establishment. The staff were very attentive and friendly . We had the ample bowl of homemade Tomato Soup served with a crispy black bread and butter. A grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla with tasty fries ,aioli sauce and fresh guacamole. We had two of the best Lemonades ever .

I visited Café Flottenheimer today with my mother and my gluten-free girlfriend, after seeing several gluten-free websites recommend this spot. Frankly, I’m shocked they did. We ordered their brunch plate (185 DKK), expecting something special. Instead, we were told that for the gluten-free version, they simply remove the bread, yogurt with granola, and pancake and the quesadilla — replacing it all with one lonely piece of gluten-free bread. So we’d pay full price but get less than half the food. No effort to offer gluten-free pancakes or an alternative dessert, which should be easy for any kitchen in 2025. The food that did arrive was bland and unremarkable. The scrambled eggs were soggy and flavorless, the salad was a joke (5 pieces of roughly cut cucumber 3slices of tomato and a single sad mozzarella ball), and the tiny pancake was forgettable. Worst of all, the bread was served so scaldingly hot it was almost painful to touch — suggesting it had been microwaved or rushed, not freshly prepared. We also ordered a chai latte (45 DKK), which arrived in a half-empty cup, making the steep price even more insulting. Overall, the entire brunch was shockingly small, poorly executed, and priced like it belonged in a luxury hotel, not a casual Copenhagen café. In short: Café Flottenheimer charges premium prices for food and service that fall far below even basic expectations. If you’re looking for a brunch spot that actually cares about its dishes and its gluten-free guests, skip this place and head to somewhere like Grød, where the portions are generous and the flavors are actually worth your money.

Café Flottenheimer has brilliant interiors and a good amount of seating, making it a great spot to relax. The food was spot on – we really enjoyed Madam Maria’s quesadilla and the grilled chicken sandwich. The lemonade was super refreshing too. Would definitely come back!

One of the most disappointing breakfasts of my life. The brunch plate was incredibly bland and grossly overpriced. The sandwich was also so bland and simple. Hotel continental breakfast is better and I do not understand how the restaurant is still in business. Even the coffee was bitter and bad. Not worth the money
