Very crowded probably because highly rated from Trip Advisor. Was hoping for more delicious food, but then realized these are typical Danish dishes. Heavy, basic and not very elegant. The restaurant definitely has a homey feel and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, one my herring was not cooked and my beer was flat. It was rectified but a bit off putting. Go if you want to experience homemade Scandinavian dishes. I did and now know it’s not my cup of tea.
Visiting from Australia. Loved, loved, loved 1733!! The atmosphere at this snug and slightly underground eatery makes for perfect neat casual dining. Service is warm and friendly - we were so fortunate to dine as walk-ins on a booked out evening. And the food… the food is sublime. Reasonably priced, beautifully presented, generous portion sizes and the quality is really exceptional - the best we have so far had here in gorgeous Copenhagen. Highly, highly recommend! But also recommend booking hehe ;)
Popular, pricey, good (not stellar). Inside was warm so chose to sit outside & was a little forgotten. Lovely atmosphere and staff are welcoming and kind… probably better to sit inside and ask for recommendations for their best dishes…
I tried the Danish meatball, and it was really good. It served very well and the staff are very nice and friendly. There was no table available inside and I sat outside and enjoyed the view with a little bit of wind. I Totally recommend this place.
Five stars all the way. They were fully booked, but the server went out of his way to find us a table. He gave us a time limit which was very generous. The food was exceptional.
