Very good and delicious food, nice and very gentle staff. We ordered salmon tartar and shrimps for starters and for main course, cod fish, mussels and schnitzel. Shrimp is my favorite and the others are also really good. Portions are really big, we were three at that night and did not finish them all.
Great, cozy and central place in Copenhagen with high quality food and drinks. Location to me is excellent, as it’s in one of the less trafficked smaller plazas of Copenhagen, without being far away from Tivoli, Central Station or the main shopping street “Strøget”. We ordered both fish and meat (signature dishes) and both were excellent - the desserts are classics from childhood and honestly; it was like being 10years old without a care in the world when I had it 😋 Highly recommend going there - for casual dining or before a show; both works for us 👌
Such an interesting place, it's actually historical, been there for 3 centuries+ and they did a good job of preserving the interiors! Lovely danish food. Came here twice with friends, but didn't manage to take pictures of everything, they have a lovely selection of Danish food which is the main reason we selected this place. And while I am obsessed with the creme brulee I couldn't pass up ordering the "Rødgrød" for dessert which is a Danish berry dessert and no regrets at all, would order it again, loved it so much 💖 The staff speak English perfectly, are so friendly and really really helpful in explaining the dishes.
Delicious food and very pleasant service! We had tasting menu with beef tartare, salmon on spinach and steak on main.. everything was cooked perfectly!
Had dinner with my friend yesterday and wow, I was so impressed with the food from the start to the end. Firstly the service was excellent. I didn’t get the name of our waiters but they were very professional and attentive; making sure our water jug was refilled without having to ask at all. The seafood bisque was gorgeous and every mouthful of the liquid tasted amazing. Fresh shrimp provided a little bite and texture. We had to wipe the bowl clean with the accompanied bread. My friend had the smoked salmon starter and he enjoyed it very much too! The main event for both of us was the chateaubriand bearnaise which was cooked perfectly to medium rare, as per request. The steak was well-rested and tender. The hand-whipped bearnaise sauce….mmmm… definitely beats the store bought bearnaise anytime. The fries were delicious too but I was too full to eat them all. Everything paired well with a bottle of Pinot Noir to wash it down. Ended up with one more drink for the road; G&T and Bailey’s coffee and we got ourselves a beautiful dinner for a Sunday evening. The restaurant was bustling with customers even for a Sunday evening! Cosy atmosphere with excellent service. I know now which restaurant to recommend to my friends who’s hungry for a good dinner experience in Copenhagen. I, for certain, would love to return and dine here again!
