Japanese run and owned restaurant serving authentic Japanese food. Very friendly honest service. Food was very good. Unagi skin could be a little less rubbery but taste was very good. Located just behind Copenhagen main railway station. Not the best area of the City but Copenhagen is safe. Tiny restaurant so you must make a booking. Saw countless people walking in being told that they were full.
If you want to have an authentic Japanese sushi experience, please come to Bento! Reservation is a must! They only open 5 days a week for dinner only. We had an amazing dinner at Bento when visiting CPH. I came here mainly for their unagi bento. It was super delicious. I felt like I was transported back to Japan. Loved the cozy and acoustic vibe. Service was lovely. I wanted to come back for dinner again but they were fully booked for the whole month. Highly recommended!
We had high expectations based on the restaurant’s rating, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to them. The fried pork and shrimp were a bit too oily, and the miso soup tasted somewhat watered down. Overall, the flavors were quite bland, though we did enjoy the udon. It’s a shame because the atmosphere was great, and the staff was very friendly, which we really appreciated. That’s why we’re giving it a 2/5.
We lucked out being able to get in for dinner. Staff was very friendly, the menu is quite large for food and drinks. There were four of us and we got curry Katsus and salmon teriyaki along with beers and sodas. The dinner sets were served with tea, miso soup and rice. All were delicious.
Probably the most authentic Japanese place I‘ve been to in the whole of Europe. The staff is really friendly and respectful, the food is great and the interior is a maximalist dream. This is a must-visit.
