Bistro Lupa

Best meal we had in Copenhagen! While no one in our party is a vegetarian, we were excited to experience the inventive vegan menu. The atmosphere was the definition of hyyge—warm, cozy, and welcoming. We all ordered the tasting menu plus the fried mushrooms. Every bite was full of flavor and freshness. The service was exceptional as well. If you are a vacationing foodie, make a reservation ahead of time at this charming restaurant.

This modern bistro deserves its Michelin awards. We left with true admiration for this modern bistro. The chef can make wonderful dishes from mushrooms (and other fine ingredients, too). My wife and I selected their 5 course tasting menu and were never disappointed with any course. All of the dishes were wonderful, fresh, and beautiful. The first course was a kale salad. Who knew anyone could make kale so soft, fragrant, and desirable. The fried mushrooms were hearty, and the main mushroom entree was very satisfying. Finally, the Greek Mountain Tea dessert was light and delicious. We wanted to try one of Copenhagen's finest dining vegan options, and we're so glad we visited. The restaurant is small, so make sure you have a reservation since the seats fill up quickly.

Absolutely stellar dining experience. The cooking at Bistro Lupa is exceptional. Every dish is full of flavor, freshness, and care. The fried mushrooms are unforgettable. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and truly to die for. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and the service is friendly and attentive without being too formal. Each plate felt thoughtfully prepared and left a lasting impression. If you are in Copenhagen and looking for a place that delivers both comfort and creativity, Bistro Lupa is a must. A lovely place overall. First starter was fantastic, but after that in a big way down. I have eaten at several Michelin rated vegetarian restaurants and this was in another category totally, and not in a good way unfortunately. Only positive point at the end was resonable price. Will not return. Some plates were just bad.

It takes a bold chef to bring street food flavors and ingredients into a Michelin star experience, and that was certainly achieved with a delicious punch here at Bistro Lupa. Blue Oyster Mushrooms from their own farm fried to perfection come out tasting like you're at a 5 star street side barbeque in Tennessee. To do a cast iron bread and bean dip dish is risky and yet it wowed, and had us wanting to lick the plate clean and finish even the crumbs. Barely a miss on this elevated street food menu and it left us impressed and wishing we could come back tomorrow for more. The non-alcoholic pairings show a level of prestige that is mind blowing and dominates the competition. Don't miss a chance to eat here.
