The glass pavilion setting with views of the Esplanade Park creates a special atmosphere — refined but welcoming. The food is solid: beautifully cooked salmon, creamy soups, and classic desserts with a modern twist. Service is polite, though can be a bit slow when it gets busy. Absolutely delicious salmon soup and salmon entree! Historic restaurant founded in 1868 and renovated just a few years ago. Stunningly beautiful atmosphere! A must stop for any foodie!

Stunning atmosphere and incredible food! Kappeli is a gorgeous restaurant in the heart of Helsinki. The interior is beautifully designed, with historic charm and massive windows that offer great views! It’s a unique mix of tourists and locals, including business professionals - a great spot to take in the city’s vibe! I had the best vegan meal I’ve ever had here! The flavors were incredible. They clearly have put a lot of thought and care into the menu. While the service left much to be desired (our head waiter was not very friendly or engaged in any part of the service. It was also difficult to hear even a word he was saying), the atmosphere and food quality more than made up for it! It's definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate great design and exceptional cuisine!

We went for our anniversary dinner here and it was totally worth it. We got a cute corner table which was perfect for date night. Took the asparagus menu, roast reindeer with reindeer sausage and chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream. The asparagus menu set was refreshing and spring-y 🌸 Lara helped us throughout the evening and gave us some excellent wine suggestions. Would definitely come back. Great food.

We had the summer menu here. Everything was amazing from atmosphere to food. The complementary wine suited the meals perfectly. We had great service and they were incredibly helpful. Reservation is a must otherwise you will not be able to find a place.
