We had a team from multiple countries and all said meats were chewy and also on a salty side. Nice flavours though. Fish soup was good and served in a modern way. Desert was far from fresh thus advertised as such, but also dried slightly and feeling of being defrosted some time ago. Wines were a good fit with food. Appetiser drink was fresh. Personnel good.
I recently had dinner at Brasa and enjoyed their 5-course meal. While the overall food was a mix of highs and lows, a few standout dishes truly impressed me. The crab crackers and cauliflower entrée were absolutely superb—packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The main course, featuring beef and pork, was also delicious and perfectly balanced. On the flip side, the dessert was a bit of a letdown and didn’t quite match the quality of the earlier courses. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the ambience was warm, pleasant, and welcoming. It made the entire dining experience feel special. While I found the food generally average but they were picture perfect. Also, I would gladly return—again and again—just for those unforgettable crab crackers.
Food was good but I hope the restaurant will re-think the “5€ per person for water and bread”. This isn’t Italy. People are already paying a lot for the food they’re ordering; the least the restaurant can do is give free water like most restaurants in Finland. Some high end restos in Finland are even offering free bread. If the restaurant doesn’t want to do that, maybe don’t serve the bread right away without asking if people want it. Other than that, it’s a good place for celebrating special occasions.
Great addition to Helsinki restaurant scene. Relaxed atmosphere and host’s were friendly. Menu and special menu with daily specials such as oysters and dry aged meat from their meat fridge. Chef’s table is ready great to see how kitchen works. Fabulous open flame grill, amazingly they captured grill taste through out the menu. Drinks are really tasty and wine list extensive. Big thumbs up; no water charge!
I had the pleasure of eating the Brasas Christmas menu and was utterly blown away. The staff were all on point and could easily suggest the right choices for us all. All the food we had was made to perfection. Proposed wines complimented the dish and the desert was JUST the right thing.
